The list bellow represents both the observed birds that reside in the Patagonia Bird Sanctuary and the potential species that one day might reside, as well as the different birds that can be observed in the proximate area. The species marked in "bold" are the 60 species that today reside in the Sanctuary. The ones that aren't (but also marked with the "X"), are the species that we wait (with certainty) will reside in the Sanctuary as the project continues to develop (Total: 111). The column of neighbor zones within 100 kilometers shows the species that may visit the Sanctuary "in the day," as a showing of local and regional diversity. Many of these species could possibly reside in the Sanctuary as well but we cannot be sure if this will happen, with a total of 183 possible species. The list does not include the costal species, found in the oceanic coast 190 kilometers from the Sanctuary, although there exists numerous registered marine species found in the area.
